Cancellation policy

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR PURCHASE OPTIONS

Some Cam-It products and installation orders are bought as a staged or deferred purchase: you first make a down payment or reservation and pay the remainder later, for example at the installation or before delivery. This policy explains how that works and how you can cancel. It forms part of our general terms and conditions and of our returns, right of withdrawal and refund policy.

1. How it works

1.1 With a reservation or down payment you first pay part of the total amount. In doing so you confirm your order. In principle we do not ask for more than 50% in advance.

1.2 As soon as we have received your down payment, we reserve installation time in our diary and, if necessary, order the parts that specifically fit your vehicle — such as a mirror cover or a vehicle-specific cable set.

1.3 You pay the remaining amount at the agreed time: at the latest on completion of the installation or before dispatch.

2. Cancelling

2.1 You cancel by e-mail to info@cam-it.com, quoting your order or invoice number.

2.2 If you cancel before we have ordered parts specifically for your vehicle and before an installation appointment falls within 48 hours, we will refund your down payment in full.

2.3 If you cancel after that, we may deduct the costs we have already incurred or can no longer avoid. In concrete terms, these are parts ordered specially for your vehicle, call-out costs incurred and the installation time reserved for you. We will substantiate that amount and keep it limited to what we are actually out of pocket; anything remaining will be returned to you.

2.4 Specially ordered parts that we cannot return to our supplier may, if you wish, be collected by you against payment.

2.5 If we cancel the appointment or are unable to deliver, you will receive your down payment back in full and we will charge you nothing.

3. Refund

3.1 A refund is made using the same payment method, within fourteen days of the cancellation.

3.2 A refund never costs you anything.

4. Your statutory rights

4.1 This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

4.2 If you are a consumer, the rules on distance selling apply. You have a fourteen-day cooling-off period: for a product from the day after receipt, and for an installation service from the day after the agreement is concluded.

4.3 If installation is carried out within that cooling-off period at your express request and you have declared that you lose your right of withdrawal once we have performed in full, the right of withdrawal in respect of that service lapses upon full performance. If you withdraw part-way through, you pay only a proportionate amount for what has already been carried out.

4.4 There is no right of withdrawal for products made to your specifications or clearly personal in nature, such as custom-modified cable sets and adapted mirror covers.

4.5 The full arrangement is set out in our returns, right of withdrawal and refund policy, including the model withdrawal form.

5. Business customers

For business customers, the cancellation periods and percentages set out in Article 21.8 of our general terms and conditions apply. For fleet projects, what has been stipulated in the quotation applies.
